Our Portland,
Oregon based edit studio features Final Cut Pro non linear editing system plus Betacam SP recorders
and DVCAM and Mini DV Input and output. We use a NewTek
Video Toaster 2 for special effects, non linear editing and video switching.
The New Video Toaster includes Lighwave 3D express for creating 3 dimensional
animated graphics, Aura Paintbox, Character Generator and many other real
time digital video effects.
Extensive post production facilities in Japan are available through affilliated companies. Inquire for details. We are equipped to handle television system conversions to and from most formats. |

Booking of services
constitutes your agreement with the provisions and terms outlined below.
Please read them
before booking.
We reserve the right
to revise these terms and conditions without notice.

BOOKING
|
We understand that many
circumstances can prevent timely booking but we need to have as much advance
warning as possible. A confirmed booking should be made at
least 2 weeks prior to shoot start. Depending on circumstances, we require
24 hours from request to confirmation to provide an estimate and to ensure
availability.
For new clients we require a 50% advancd deposit prior to confirming a booking. For returning clients, upon establishment of a working relationship, the above provision is waived. |
| CANCELLATION | We also understand that things can go wrong. If a confirmed booking is cancelled more than 1 week prior to the scheduled start date, there will be no charge and 100% of any advance or deposit will be refunded. We will charge 25% of estimated costs for cancellation less than one (1) week (5 business days) in advance, 50% for less than 48 hours. 100% for less than 24 hours. |
| OVERTIME | Time in excess of 10 hours
for personnel up to 14 hours will be charged at time and 1/2. An
additional 35% will added for time in excess of 14 hours. (Double-Time).
(Ex 2 person crew = $80/hr regular, $120/hr OT to 14, $160/hr 14th hr & above) |

TRAVEL
|
Daily rates are charged from departure of the APP office (or hotel) until return. (portal to portal) If a full day (more than 4 hours) of travel is required, 1/2 the day rate will be charged as a "Travel Day". (Travel under 4 hours is included in the day rate.) |
| EXPENSES | Expenses may be covered by the clent/producer on-site. If expenses are not covered on site we will bill the client for reasonable lunch charges for more than a 6 hour shift. Both Lunch and dinner for more than a 12 hour shift. We do not charge for fuel or mileage if the location is less than 100 miles from the base of operations. If the mileage range exceeds 100 miles, 20 cents per mile for a standard vehicle, or 40 cents per mile for a large van or SUV will be charged, in addition to vehicle rental charges if any. Direct expenses such as parking, highway/bridge tolls and expendables will be billed in the actual amount with reciept. |

EQUIPMENT RENTAL
|
* Charges begin from the
time the equipment leaves the APP office until it is returned. Sundays
& holidays included.
**If gear is not used for a 24 hour period (i.e. in transit) a 50% price break will be granted if informed before gear is taken out. *** The daily rate will apply up to and between weekly and monthly price breaks. **** Renter bears responsibility for any damage not related to normal wear and tear and for shipping charges (if any). |

TAPE STOCK
|
Quoted rates do not include tape stock. We require the highest quality tape stock to preserve the optimum performance of our equipment. Feel free to provide your own (subject to approval), or see our list for prices. |
| INVOICES & PAYMENT TERMS | We will issue an invoice
for services and expenses in a timely manner, not to exceed 30 days from
the date of service performed.
You agree to carefully read all billing statements/invoices and promptly notify us in writing of any claimed errors, discrepancies, or problems with the charges or other information on the statement/invoice within forty-five (45) days from the date of the statement/invoice. If we do not hear from you in writing within this time, it will be presumed for all purposes that you agree with the correctness, accuracy and fairness of the statement/invoice and the information it contains. Furthermore, this is considered to be a condition required precedent to the filing of any claim or defense concerning legal fees or expenses you fail to pay. Our invoices are payable upon receipt and are considered overdue if not paid within sixty (60) days. We may assess a service charge on overdue invoices and interest at the rate of one percent (1.5%) per month on any amounts not paid when due. At our discretion, an additional thirty (30) day grace period may be extend for special circumstances. We may, at our discretion, initiate legal action to collect the unpaid balance including any interest and services charges applied. You agree to pay all attorney's fees and costs associated with any collection efforts that may be required in connection with these fees, costs and charges, including those for appeals as well as prejudgment interest on the same. |
